Durawa Development organization is a non
profit community based organization registered in Sep 2005 under
social welfare act 1982 of Pakistan with registered number 246. DDO
is regardless of religion, race, or political persuasion, aims to
coordinate the energies of qualified, young, energetic, and
motivated professional for improvements in the quality of life and
uplift of marginalized communities of Neelum Valley, AJ&K through
means of sustainable development.
DDO was established with the firm belief
that an organization, sensitive for the needs, aspiration,
capabilities and potential of rural poor of Neelum Valley AJ&K can
play a distinctive role in support of government and other donor’s
efforts in stimulating socio economic rural development and for
human survival.

DDO has a broad based
working approach to form ethnic groups at grass root level in this
sense to establish their identity. After formation a local group
will be trained to identify their problem and prepare village
Profile, Development plan to provide a sound information base for
the future for sustainable development. CO at grass root level will
be linked with overall organizational framework through the
organizational development process; hence the Apex forum at district
level will be established. The ultimate aim of the organization is
to act as democratic and mandatory organization in order to make
the people empowered and established forums where people can utilize
their potential as a force to undertake their development according
their own need, aspiration and priorities as for as possible on self
help basis.
